FOREWORD — Continued

The designs, which will delight anyone with
a feeling for the artistic and aesthetic, are
all by our own designers, and are special
creations. We take particular care in the
fitting and finishing of all the work we do,
however low in price the furniture is : those
little unseen details that add life to the
Settee or Chair ; the conscientious attention
to construction that means strength and
reliability ; the little better quality put
into locks, hinges ; the extra time spent on
the polish — all these trifles go to produce a
result that we know is satisfactory, and when
to this, owing to a fine large new Factory and
the latest equipment in machinery of all kinds,
is added the attraction of low prices, we feel
that we are in a position to offer the public
what may be fairly classed as “ Beautiful
Furniture ” — that is furniture of correct
design, sound construction and careful
finish. We have always claimed that such
furniture could be made cheaply, and we
offer the four schemes illustrated in this
booklet as evidence that we can make good
our claim.

would our grandfathers
say if they could see this little
four-roomed cottage superbly
furnished for £100 ? Look at
the Oak Dining-room Suite on
the next page, and the Oak
Bedroom on page 6, and say whether
anything could be more beautiful in
design. And the same question might
be asked of the three other schemes.

c

How is it possible to produce the furni-
ture at the price ? Of course, the answer
to that question is before you. We do it
by the most modern methods in a new,
modern, well-equipped factory, and we
are assisted by an immense turnover.

But it has taken many years to learn how,
and now we are proud and glad to be
able to offer you really genuine Furniture
of high-class design and honest con-
struction at really low prices.

Come and see this Furniture set out room
by room in our £100 cottage.

The modern craze for ‘ ‘ Craftsman ”
furniture is justified , for it is a
natural reaction towards puritan
simplicity after the shams and the
shames of the earlier part of the last
two decades.

Removals and Storage

■■

I

lUR knowledge of Furniture
generally is perhaps the best
' reason why you should, in your
own interests, let us do your
moving or storing.

We do our best to eliminate losses and
breakages, by employing only expert
movers.

We can do the job very completely.
Recently we moved a large establishment,
including costly glass, china and pictures,
whilst the family was away. Nothing
was broken, and when they returned
everything was in its place in the new
home.

We have two large Depositories for furni-
ture storage, including strongrooms for
valuables, and our fees for both storing
and removing furniture are very moderate.
When you next contemplate moving, be
sure and ask us for an estimate.
